MO&A occupies a suite of offices in a part of Accra popular with the professional services industry. Our operations are fully computerized running on a local area network supported by an advanced operating system. We employ efficient ICT equipment, software and processes in the provision of services and this sets us apart from other firms.
In view of the rapidly changing business environment resulting from globalization, Continuing Professional Education (CPE) for the firm’s partners and associates is considered mandatory. We participate regularly in seminars organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and other professional bodies as well as programmes organized by international agencies like the EU, Danida, UNDP, The World Bank, CIDA, Asian Development Bank, World Health Organisation and many others.
Our Audit Staff and associated external consultants regularly attend seminars and workshops and are consistently monitored and evaluated to maintain our quality service standards in addition to formal education support in pursuit of their professional qualifications.
To ensure that we maintain our focus and edge over other firms we have appointed two non-executive directors in addition to our three partners. We are also currently undergoing registration with ICAG for implementation of a peer review system. Involving external directors is an innovation in Ghanaian professional accounting practice. MO&A introduced this innovation as part of a major corporate review at the end of 2000 in anticipation of major competitive and regulatory developments reflecting both local and international trends. We see a need to provide access to a critical but supportive external perspective on all operating policy issues.
